Norbert Nagy will start the penultimate event of the FIA European Touring Car Cup season with a new SEAT at his disposal.

The Hungarian’s original machine was badly damaged in a crash at ETCC Race of Vila Real in June, leading to his Zengő Motorsport team building up a replacement for ETCC Race of Zolder this weekend.

“After my crash in Vila Real we have to build an another car, I hope it will do the work and I will fight for the podium positions,” said Nagy, who heads to Belgium joint third in the standings.”

With the Belgian track – and the season finale venue Most – new to Nagy, the 22-year-old has spent time on Zengő’s simulator.

“It will be two very hard weekends because both tracks are foreign to me but I am well prepared.”

ETCC Race of Zolder takes place from 15-17 September. Both races will be streamed live at FIAETCC.com and on the Eurosport Player with extensive highlights on Eurosport and RTBF in Belgium.

Petr Fulín ensured he was crowned the 2017 FIA European Touring Car Cup winner with a comfortable home victory in the second encounter at ETCC Race of Most in the Czech Republic earlier today (Sunday).
