      	<description>Rounds 1 and 2 of the 2012 FIA World Touring Car Championship and the FIA European Touring Car Cup will take place at Monza, Italy, 10 and 11 March. 
The deadline to apply for media credentials is Tuesday, 28 February.
No media credentials will be allocated after the aforesaid deadline.</description>

      	<description>Switzerland-based Rikli Motorsport announced they will compete in the FIA European Touring Car Cup once again. 
Just like in 2011, the team will enter a couple of Honda cars in the Super 2000 class: a Civic FD for Peter Rikli and an Accord Euro R for Christian Fischer. &#8220;We are currently rebuilding both cars, introducing a number of technical improvements. We are doing our best to make them competitive for the season opener at Monza,&#8221; said team principal Erwin Rikli.</description>

      	<description>Maurer Motorsport announced they will take part in the 2012 FIA European Touring Car Cup with a couple of Chevrolet Aveo cars prepared for competing in the Super 1600 class.
The cars will be driven by young Russian racers Alexander Frolov (21 years old) and Vadim Meshcheryakov (19 years old) who were both crowned champions of the 2011 Russian Touring Car Championship in the Touring and the National class respectively.</description>

Giovanardi was the second Italian victorious since Alessandro Zanardi won the inaugural Race 1 at Vallelunga in 2005; Oriola too scored a second victory for Spain, after Oscar Nogu&#233;s in 2008 at the Salzburgring.</description>
