24 Jun 2012Monje took the lead on the fourth lap, after Aytaç Biter, Peter Fulín and Igor Skuz took turns in the lead during the early stages. Fulín retired due to a technical failure, and so did Peter Rikli following a first lap incident with his own team-mate Christian Fischer who eventually was classified third behind Monje and Skuz.
Key Moments
In the S1600 class Paolo Necchi claimed his second wins of the day. Although he was forced to start from the pit lane, he recovered and overtook Wilson Borgnino’s Chevrolet Aveo on the final lap after a tough fight. Kevin Krammes celebrated his European title with a third place. Nikolay Karamishev scored another comfortable victory in the Super Production class.
Stian Paulsen and Andreas Pfister delivered an exciting battle in the Single-Make Trophy. The German driver led during the first part of the race, however Paulsen eventually managed to overtake him and pulled away for good finishing in third position overall.
