KARAMYSHEV CLINCHES SUPER PRODUCTION TITLE
21 Jun 2012

The FIA European Touring Car Cup has already crowned its first 2012 champion, Russia’s Nikolay Karamyshev in the Super Production class.

Following the announcement that 2011 champion Aleksandar Tošić from Serbia will not be racing this weekend in the series’ finale at Imola, Karamyshev is now out of reach in the classification.
The Russian driver and his Honda Civic Type-R car had won four races out of the six previously held, building up an 11-point margin ahead of Tošić.
At Imola, with the title already in his pocket, Karamyshev will try to add two more victories to his tally, beating the BMW 320si of the 2008 champion Fabio Fabiani.
