GABÓR TO RACE IN FORMER WTCC PEUGEOT
16 Feb 2012

Hungarian youngster Tim Gábor will make his first appearance in the FIA European Touring Car Cup at the wheel of a Super 2000 Peugeot 407. The car, that was built by Peugeot Sport for occasional participations in the FIA World Touring Car Championship and then went racing in the Danish Touring Car Championship, will be prepared and run by the RCM Motorsport team.

In his still short racing career, the 20-year-old Gábor claimed national titles in the Hungarian Karting Championship and the Suzuki Bio Cup.
"I was very impressed by the car; it’s fast and has a great aerodynamic. It is also very easy to drive and on the first test it took only a couple of laps for me to be quick," he said.
Team manager Imre Bende said: "I think Tim and his car have the potential to create a surprise. We hope that we can fight with the top drivers from the beginning."
