SIX NATIONAL CHAMPIONS GATHERED TOGETHER
16 Oct 2008

The concept at the basis of FIA European Touring Car Cup is to attract drivers from the different national Touring Car championships that adopt FIA technical regulations: Super 2000, Super Production and Super 1600. This is perfectly reflected in the participation of six national champions (or nearly…) to the Austrian event at Salzburgring.

This is perfectly reflected in the participation of six national champions (or nearly…) to the Austrian event at Salzburgring.

Philip Geipel (Germany), George Tanev (Bulgaria), Mikko Eskelinen (Finland) and Richard Göransson (Sweden) have already claimed their respective national titles; and so did Egoņš Lapins (Latvia) in the Baltic Championship.

While César Campaniço is only six points and one round away from being crowned Portuguese champion.
