19 May 2012Andreas Pfister (1:31.256) was second fastest in the leading Single-Make Trophy car and Igor Skuz (1:31.376) third quickest in another León TDI.
The first of the non-SEAT cars was the Alfa Romeo 156 of Hungary’s Csapa Gáspár (1:31.608) while the BMW of Petr Fulín was only seventh quickest (1:32.450) following an engine change after yesterday’s two test sessions. Aytaç Biter (1:32.864) was ninth fastest after prematurely ending the session in the gravel at Turn 1.
In Super 1600, the fastest time was set by the Ford Fiesta of the category leader Kevin Krammes (1:42.711) while the quicker of the two Honda Civics contesting the Super Production category was that of Nikolay Karamyshev (1:36.647).
Several incidents occurred during the thirty-minute session, with the Ford Fiesta of Paolo Necchi suffering mechanical failure exiting the chicane after just six minutes of the session and the resulting oil at the entrance to T3 bringing out the red flags and the marshals’ brooms. Then, with around ten minutes remaining, the Single-Make Trophy SEAT of Urs Sonderegger received the black and orange flag for a loose front window.
