GERMAN VICTORY IN THE SUPER 1600 CLASS
The first appearance of the Super 1600 class in the FIA European Touring Car Cup resulted in a German victory with the 30-years old Jens-Guido Weimann claiming pole position and winning both races. His Ford Fiesta’s impressive pace was only ten seconds slower compared to the best Super 2000 cars.

NYKJÆR TAKES TITLE WITH RACE 2 WIN
Before the second race Pontus Mörth was given a 30-second penalty because of the collision with Jens Reno Møller at the start of Race 1; he should have started sixth on the reverse grid for Race 2 but lost three positions and started ninth. Kristian Pouslen took an early lead from pole position man Charlie Geipel when the Toyota driver made a poor start.

ENGSTRÖM TAKES A LIGHT TO FLAG WIN
From pole position Tomas Engström made a better start than fellow front row starter Jens Reno Møller and the latter clashed with Pontus Mörth at the first corner and slipped down to ninth. At the end of the first lap Engström was chased by Ceresoli, with Nykjær third and Mörth fourth.

LVOV JR DROPPED TEN GRID POSITIONS
After setting pole position yesterday Tomas Engström remained the fastest in this morning’s 15-minute warm up session. Under a foggy sky, the Swede’s Honda Accord clocked the fastest lap of 1:22.417, beating Michel Nykjær’s SEAT León and Henrik Lundgaard’s Chevrolet Lacetti by 0.147 and 0.273 seconds respectively.

The conditions have been quite tricky but for qualifying I had the perfect car and I would like to thank the team for that. ENGSTRÖM AND MØLLER MAKE HONDA 1-2
Tomas Engström from Sweden claimed pole position for the third FIA European Touring Car Cup and Jens Reno Møller from Denmark completed an all-Honda front row on the grid for tomorrow’s Race 1. Maurizio Ceresoli in the GR Asia SEAT León posted the third fastest lap after sitting on provisional pole.
